I'm really sad now...
Two members from one of my favourite K-Pop idol groups, Alexander and Kibum of U-Kiss are leaving.
There has been some little hints here and there about something going on. Kibum for example was missing from a performance last week, some interesting tweets from the both of them hinting at something big coming up, Alexander not going to Hong Kong this week (he's originally from Hong Kong/Macau) for a show with fellow members, Eli and Kevin. Just little things that now happen to make a lot more sense.
For Kibum, it seems like based off of a message he left on twitter that he was approached as NH Media (U-Kiss' agency) with the prospect of dissolving his contract as they wanted to see about adding new members to UKiss (and having annouced this today, NH has already stated they are semi-looking to add members to the now 5-member group). He accepted, and he hasn't been an official member of U-Kiss for two months now, yet he has performed with them these past two months... He does have a business that he is running with his older brother (a member of another idol group, SS501 that seems to have semi-disbanded if you ask me....). So that is Kibum's side of things.
Alexander on the other hand, it seems to of come out of almost no where. Again, there has been so tweets hinting at things back in late January about true fans will support him no matter what. Recently, in following his twitter Xander has been having a lot of issues with insomnia, a stomach illness that was likely linked to long-term stress. So from a health point of view, I understand his departure, and again the fact that he isn't in Hong Kong with Kevin and Eli shooting a show for Arirang (kind-a English station in Korea, the three of them host the show Pops in Seoul on Wednesdays) seemed a bit strange to me. Then again, I assumed it was due to conflicting schedule but now I wonder if this is the reason. He hasn't shared his side soon, I hope he does soon. NH current cites personal reasons such as a desire to return to school (which he should, he speaks 7 languages and has proven himself to be very smart when it comes to math).
So yeah, I'm sad right now. With Big Bang's big come up this was going to be an exciting week, now this has put a dampener on it...
