Mixed Tuesday

My exam I felt went well, the professor is pretty straight forward and a couple of other people were done about the same time as me. So I'm sure I'll end up with a decent grade, I just have to wait a few weeks for the marking to be done and be able to put it out of mind. I'm actually somewhat tempted to take Brooks' second term class again in American Lit but focuses on women authors. But to do that I'd have to drop my Japan Through Film course so I'll wait and see.

Had fun with Jess and Katrina afterwards. After Jess gave us her Xmas presents to up (pictures to follow later), we went to the mall to hang out, running into Prof. Brooks there treating his nephew to lunch after he too had an exam. Found the most amazing plushies there too! They are little plushie forms of different viruses! I really want the HIV/AIDS one, which sounds horrible but they are very cute! Also picked out some paint colours I might do for my new room. Its going to be a bright colour I'm thinking at the moment, orange or something.

Came home, nothing excited till Mom came home all excited about something from the van, only to realize that it wasn't there. At the gym she had notice the car next to her window being smashed in and was glad it wasn't her van. Only to realize at home that the driver's side door lock had been punched in, people breaking in and stealing the 6 piece plush holiday band (it plays Christmas songs) out of the back. Given that it was dark and mom uses the toggle anyways to open doors she didn't notice till she got home, and it was my brother that actually noticed.

The saddest thing is, Mom last year thought about getting them (she loves this sort of thing) but when she went to get them they were gone at the hospital gift shop. The past few months she has had to deal with a lot of different issues and is only finally getting better and this was a gift to herself for making it through and now someone has stolen it. It hurts me just as much as it probably hurts her as she was really excited and couldn't wait to show me and my sister, mainly for the joy in how it would annoy us. But I love it anyways.

This took away a little from actually finally seeing the apartment. Which was good, going to have to rethink the double bed in my room as there isn't a lot of space at all. My closest is also real small so I may see about stealing some space from the linen closet considering AJ has tw closets in his room. But it is really nice, not much work needs to be done to it at all, just some capping of the carpets and a good steam clean of the carpets. It should be pretty good. Actually seeing the place (again, pictures to come) is finally making me nervous, that this is actually happening. Still, just another part of growing up.

So now I have to take Mom's van to the body shop to hopefully get fixed, so pictures will be up later. Tuesday just ended up being really mixed...

friends, school, family, moving
