So finals are finally over, I'm done with the quarter, and I am OUT of that damn city!! WOOO!!! My drive home didn't even make me want to drive into the side of a hill, and that's a rare occurrence. I'm ridiculously excited to be back in the valley and without 357 projects to work on. I just have to worry about taking care of the animals and looking for internships/grad programs. Oh, and skating and working on my stickhandling. Oh how I love breaks.
A bit on the topic of my animals, I've decided that I SHOULD NOT leave my pets at home with my family. Though I don't really have much choice in that matter for a while... Ugh. This spring we had to put my old dog down. He was my absolute best friend for a good 17 or 18 years (he was about 21, a year older than me), and he developed a cancerous tumor on his side while I was at school that no one noticed. I was livid. I had to take the cat to the vet today and he asked me if there wre any issues with her that he should know about. There's nothing that I know of, but then again I just got home last night. I just got chewed out by my mother for not telling him her allergies are acting up again. I just got home! I didn't know! Anyway, as a final bitching point, I just found out that one of my fish died. Not that big a deal to me, they're fish. But he's still sitting at the bottom of my tank and the other two ate him because no one's been feeding them. AGH! I know I know, they're my animals, but is it that hard to ask someone to watch them while I'm at school?!
Ok, off to clean the tank, finish laundry, tape my stick (oh yea, finally acquired a stick! Woo!), unpack stuff from school, and play with the dog. Yay home!
