I woke this morning to a knock at the door
Is it even someone i will recognize anymore
I feel it's someone i once knew all to well
And yet a person i had continued to fail
I inched closer to take a peep
And there was figure looking back at me
This face seemed familiar as it stood frozen in time
I could make out tears rolling out his eyes
Opened the door slowly at first
Scared to let the emotion burst
It swung open and there to see
The other person was me
