So, been on this excusion in the Jeep w/ Mumsey for a week. We went to the very NE corner of Pennsylvannia to a huge farm of a family friend. The family friend is an elder woman who is like a 3rd grandmother to me, and she goes to her husbands old family farm every year to escape the heat of south florida. I have gone to this farm every year since i was 3 years old. I don't remember a summer where i didn't visit her for atleast a week. I will write about my trip at the farm later. For now i will just say that my mother and i are plotting to throw fresh whole cantelopes at the highway construction workers of Virginia for making traffic a living hell. While at a dead stop somewhere in central VA i looked to my right and saw a small cross with a name and a date. The date was my birthday last year. I remarked "well, THATs depressing as hell...this trip is so over." Something that did amuse me however, was the names of the cities we passed.
Example: Troutsville, PA....Trout Barrier Stream WV.......Troutsman City, VA. As well as a Trout fish egg hatchery sign in maryland. All of these places were about 2 hours apart from eachother. Thats WAY too much freaking trout.
Observation: There are some BUTT UGLY people in Pennsylvannia. Like i'm talking the size of a double wide, and face like a troll that lives under a bridge kind of fugly ugly. Also, the entire state of Virginia has 500,000,000 country stations, and 1 hip hop/rap one.
Secrets my parents kept from me that i found out during cocktail hour before dinner one night:
~ I was kind of an accident
~ My parents have had lake front, gorgeous property for years and didn't tell me
~ My Dad barely got Bs at FSU with an economics major, and my mother had to find a way to get him into Chicago University for his MBA. ( obviously i get my smarts from my mother and my laziness from my father)
~ Daddy ust recently got his retirement money from retiring early from Delta. When i found out the ammount that Chapel quotation "I'm rich, BIATCH!" suddenly went through my head.
.....all in all a great trip. I'll write about the farm and how wonderful it was in a few days when i get back to the Kappa house.
Corny moment: Been talking to John at night and he says how much he misses me and has gotten use to be being around a lot. He is coming back early to find a job and be with me more =) He'll be back Monday and i can't wait to be in his arms again.
P.S. i lost weight at the farm by hiking in the woods a lot and nearly screamed with joy when i fit comfortably in a size 2 when i went shopping!
