No matter how hard I wish to deny it, family bonds are not so easily broken. The brain says one thing, and the heart another. Alas! How fickle human brings are. The heart is certainly an unpredictable organ. But the accursed matter is that my curiosity & soft heartedness are my weak points. Be that as it may, my decision has been made and I shall not waver.
Father withdrew money from the bank and we had lunch. During that period, he said he wanted to clear up any misunderstandings we might have. His new wife isn't the woman he met in Vietnam, she's someone new he met after the divorce. So I guess he's trying to say that she's not an adulterous homewrecker. Also, he managed to have an affair with a woman that has a three-year-old son...? Eh, that's really amazing. I don't particularly care either way, it's great that you've found whoever makes you happy. Just don't expect me to join in and participate in a charade of one happy family.
