I finally did it! I wrote the first chapter to my original piece of fiction. I am so happy but I am falling into the pitfall that I always do when I write something. I go back and read over and it just sounds immature to me. I think alot of it has to do with the fact that it's all coming from my head and I don't have an objective opinion of it. I guess I just don't think of myself as a writer yet so of course what I write doesn't sound good to me. I'm thinking it will get better as I go along.
This has to be the right story to do though. I actually started a different one but stopped after a couple of pages because it just wasn't flowing right. So I'm writing about an idea I had years ago. My husband and I went to SC to visit family for the holidays and all the way back I thought about this story (a six hour drive). I had made up the characters, the plotline, everything in my head and never wrote it down. I think I tried to start writing it a couple of years ago but gave up on it because I couldn't get it the way I wanted it. It's gotten bigger since then. I've thought of more characters and things are happening in a bit of a different way. One of the main characters isn't as much of a bitch as she was going to be. If I can just make myself finish this I think it will be good.
