Yes, it's true...
Finally, an update...
So, rumor (her name is Jeri) has it that I found a job - indeed, I did! I dont' know why I haven't posted about it, maybe I just needed some time to process everything. So, last week, my mom called to tell me that my uncle wanted to offer me a job with CB (where I've worked during school breaks). It's a full-time, permanent position, and exactly what I want to do. I love working there; I love the people, I love what the programming team is doing, I like the location...and I have family there. The only reason I didn't accept his offer of a temporary position was that I couldn't stand the thought of having to find something else at the end of that period and while, it is probably true that at the end of that period they would have offered me something full-time, I wouldn't have gotten benefits until the start of next year...and that just wasn't ok. So, now I'll be getting a fairly good salary and benefits in 90 days. Besides, this time has given me a chance to visit with Branden and to discover that searching for jobs really does suck. I'm leaving MN after the 4th and driving back to NC (crazy, huh?) where I will stay with my mom until I have enough money for an apartment. B is going to move down after he's done with school, but that's too far in the future to really plan for.
Did I mention that Kurtis is going to hate me for this? He will *not* be a happy kitty...
But as for me, I will be quite happy to be with family again...who knows, maybe I'll even allow myself to make a friend or two now that I know I'll be there for a while...
