This was a new thought for me.
We don't make anything true by our experiences. We choose to believe what God says is true, then live accordingly by faith; and the truth works out in our experience. It is not what we do that determines who we are. It is who we are that determines what we do. I don't labor in the vineyard with the hope that God may one day accept me. God has already accepted me, and that is why I labor in the vineyard. I don't do the things I do with the hope that God may one day love me. God loves me, and that is why I do what I do.
