people are shit, almost as shit as the abdn weather. to be fair, most of today's shitness is based around trivial e-shit which shouldn't even annoy me but really fucking does. to anyone reading this, don't worry, I can categorically say there are only two readers of my lj who are in any way connected with this thing. and they're male (and I have but 4 male readers, I believe, so yeah). it's just fucking annoying. really fucking annoying. emma is a champion for giving a shit, she always does. buy her stuff, or something.
the title of this post is a theory I came up with when on the phone today to laura. I think it holds up pretty well, at least if we're looking specifically at the last year or so. if you wanna know more, msn/aim me. anyway. today hasn't been all bad, I've printed off the labels and will send my zen xtra off tomorrow. and I got an ipod shuffle today. I am, in general, against ipods. but the shuffle is a genius of a machine. and it looks good, as well, something the ipod/mini/nano do not. it's minimalism, which I love. and the neck dealy is sweet, makes carrying it around easier.
itunes is a steaming pile of absolute dogshit, but I figured it would be. why they don't allow a simple drag-and-drop I don't know. be so much simpler. I named the pod DELIVERANCE (natch) and stuffed it with 980mb of the sexiest music around (loads of opeth, mwahaha). I got a lot of variation in it, and obviously a lot of the contents will change over time. the zen xtra will remain the main player, but this will be used for shorter journeys like going to uni, etc, coz it's so easy to carry. and shuffle aside, had some cool convos with folk today. laura got a job in her field, working for channel 4, so I'm rather proud of her. tis it, really.
and, of course, dopesmoker (or for yanks) owns your fucking face.
