do fancy things for the world
time for my monthly update. i swear its not intentional, i'm just...crazy.
finished working on Den Of Thieves, a really fun production done by a bunch of tisch alum as a fundraiser for a memorial fund for a little girl who they taught at strausburg. it was just a really fun show, working with great people. a couple dramatic moments, these kids were just out of college within a few years, and so working on starting their own theatre company is a big challenge. the most eventful theatrical night of my life was when almost the entire cast got into a rather large tiff before the show and tension was high, then during the middle of the second act, one of the actresses had a nervous break down/panic attack and had to run off stage in the middle of the scene. we then ended the show and refunded the people's money. and sent her off the the hospital in an ambulance. like, no joke it was a big deal. but in heindsight, hilarious because she ended up being totally fine, just had a bad reaction to heat, over dose of junk food combined with eating nothing for the rest of the day and being tied up in a chair for a little too long...all is well. loved working on it, glad its over now that i'm settling into school.
MY PLAY HAS BEEN APPROVED! I will be doing hidden in this picture, by the Hilarious Aaron Sorkin. I'm so amazingly excited. just a few minutes ago i snagged myself a sydney as my set designer and i'm really REALLY excited about that. still waiting to hear from a few other designers, still waiting for my brain to kick in to get my shit together about auditions and such, but it will happen. and it will be brilliant.
i feel like so much is going on, i'm really having a hard time holding onto my mind. just things keep going out of my head and i'm like, hey where'd ya go? my planner is helping things, but not enough. my brain and it are just not connected enough yet. but it'll get there now that things are starting to get into school routine.
MIXTAPES ROCK! we had an amazing call back session on sunday, where literally i fell in love with everyone and would have been completely content just singing in that room for a very long time. but alas and alak, we had to make some final cuts, but there are 6 proud new members and i'm really exited for things to get started. speaking of, i'm going to go start rehearsal. hope alls well!
