It's been crazy since Christmas around here.
We had a bittersweet holiday. We had a great time with family...but then a few days after, my oldest baby dog's body began to give out. After 17 healthy, wonderful years with us, her body and spirit were tired. She'd stopped eating, was unable to keep water down, and was completely lethargic. We made the decision to put her to sleep, and she went very peacefully. It was difficult to let her go, but we knew it was time. Thankfully, our other two baby dogs have been a great comfort to us.
We had some snow a couple of days ago, and it was beautiful. Anyone that knows me, understands I have a thing for snow. I'm all like...
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go out in it, because I had a yucky head cold. At least I was able to enjoy looking at it. My head cold has added a croaky voice, and annoying cough to it's repertoire, but I am feeling a little better. Yay for that!
I didn't mention it here, but at the end of November, I had Lasik surgery. Best. Thing. Evar. My eyes are doing great! As of my last follow up visit, my vision is better than 20/20, it's 20/15! I'm so very thankful that I was finally able to get it done. It's wonderful to be able to see without glasses or contact lenses. My only regret is that I didn't get it done sooner. :) About a week ago, I donated my unopened contact lenses, and glasses to my Optometrist's office. It was a great feeling to let them go, and I'm glad that they'll help someone else.
Before I was tackled by my head cold, Hubby and I were working on all kinds of home projects. It's been great getting some things crossed off the list. I'm ready to get back too it, so here's to hoping my cold will be on it's way out very soon.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and wishing you all a blessed New Year! <3
