Where the heck did Oct. go?
I swear time flies by liek whoa lately. RL has been a blur the past few weeks, and with the holidays coming up, it's not going to slow down anytime soon!
My oldest Baby Dog turned 17 today. She's always been extremely healthy her entire life, but her age is taking it toll lately She's not feeling well at all, bless her. I had to take her to the vet Monday, because she had a sudden abscess develop under her eye. The swelling came on so suddenly, I thought it was a bee sting, before realizing it was an infection. Apparently one of her upper molars is infected. She's lost quite a bit of weight too. Down from 8 lbs this spring, to 5 lbs now, even though she is eating well. We're in a tough place with her, because the tooth needs to be extracted, but because of her declining health and age, it's a huge risk. This kind of thing is so difficult to go through. When my first Baby Dog became sick at 15, and we had to put her to sleep it nearly killed me. That was almost 3 years ago, and we're getting to that same place again. So very hard. :(
I'm glad that my other two Baby Dogs are still young, at 3 and 4 years. They're happy, healthy, and I hope and pray they will continue to be for many, many years.
