Ok, so for my common app activity essay I was going to write about riflery (because I'm really good at it, plus it's unique). But then I thought "wait, what if some really liberal admissions person reads my essay and rejects me because they hate guns?" Is this a realistic fear, or am I just stressing? I think that written carefully, with the right focus, this would be really good. But if it's causing a lot of trouble and the thing doesn't write itself, best to move onto something else. (disclaimer: nay knows NOTHING about the common app aside from having seen it once.)
