Not that it matters, but I was reading WAY before eBooks existed. Just saying.

I have finished with The Complete Kama Sutra translated by Alain Danielou. At last!  I have to say the book annoyed me. The feminist in me kept telling me to throw the book away. I read it anyway for the old cultural traditions bit. Ugh!
Why did it annoy me? A sample...paraphasing, of course...the book mentions the ways to get married--two of them looked down on but it's still marriage...The last one mentions war bride sort of situation (kill the "bride's" parents/guardian, kidnap "bride", etc). The second to last was kidnap the "bride", seduce/rape her, and because her virginity was taken, she is now married. If the girl goes back to the parents, to avoid scandal/shame of kidnapping/rape, the parents give their blessing to the "marriage".  Why does this annoy me so? Because stuff like this still happens even in this day and age.  I remember a news article a year or so ago, about a underage girl being kidnapped this way, she managed to escape her kidnapper but her parents wouldn't allow her back into the home saying that she must be married now since she was away from home so long. I mean really??!! An underage girl who was raped??!! You're sending her back to her rapist??!!
From this book, now I know why some people consider sharp, pointy nails sexy. Not me. I could never figure out why certain films gave talons a creepy "sexy" vibe reactions from the non-taloned actors. Evidently, "nailing" is similar to "lovebites", to them. I understand scratching but not nailing.

Anyway, also read..
This Girl is Different by JJ Johnson
Bob's Burgers by Dynamite publishing
Am currently reading a book from a daughter of the Happy Face killer (Keith Jesperson) for my celeb book of the month.
