A few questions for all of you:

Has anyone ever experienced an effect of a kidnapping actually get worse over time rather than better? Or does anyone know of a good way to deal with rather strange recurring nightmares?

[He probably should add asking about how long these effects usually last, ( Read more... )

No. Usually they get better over time. [ pause. ] Have you tried tea or doing or drinking something that'll ease your mind before you sleep?

It's been nearly two weeks and if anything it's getting worse because the recurring nightmares are definitely new.

[Well, not really, but to what he thinks due to the kidnapping effect they sure are. And then he hasn't even mentioned other things, but is attributing that to lack of sleep at this time.]

I usually do drink tea. Is there a particular kind that may work better?

I've never heard of something like that before... [ and she'll be making note of this now. ]

I'm not sure... perhaps a chamomile blend or something for muscle relaxing? You might have to try more than one type to find one that works best.

[He definitely notes that blend, since a stop to the grocery is due later, he can make sure to pick that kind up, likely along with a few others.]

I hadn't either. Is there even a typical length of time for these?

Anywhere from a week to a month or so, last I was here... but the rules may have changed while I was gone...

[And he groans inwardly at the thought of having to deal with this for another two weeks at least.]

You were here before and recall it? I've only been here since the last cycle so I doubt I can say if it has changed a lot.

Mhm. For a year and a half. I left in March and now it seems I'm back. But March to November is a very long time, so things may have changed. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

[And he's thinking she may know nothing about how she even left, but hey, may as well try.]

And I'd have no way of knowing. I haven't met anyone who had actually left and come back and knows about it. That's quite interesting.

It's a strange sensation. I've also been told I was here in between those times but... I don't recall it at all. And no, I don't know how I got home or back here. If I did, that would make things a lot easier on all of us.

It's a shame they are so random and we can't observe them or even have a chance to say goodbye to the person.

No. That would be too kind for all of us. [ she sighs. ] A lot of people I was close to here are gone now.

And people we wouldn't have met otherwise or are from different times in our own world. I still can't get used to my little brother being all grown up now, and if I go home he'll be a child again.

[And it's still strange how he doesn't even remember Joshua being this age before he was kidnapped, damn the Malnosso for that one.]

Yes, or you become friends with someone here who you'd be fighting against in a war at home.

[ yeeeeup... that one's what really gets her sometimes. ]

Is the war going on currently in your world then?

Yes. It's the second one of its kind.
