pet peeves
why do people laugh at things that aren't funny? there's a woman that i see at wellington sometimes, in the area that you pay for parking. she has been ahead of me in line twice. this morning's conversation went as follows (i can only hear her side):
good morning, happy monday!! (ha ha ha ha ha ha)
at least he sun is shining! (ha ha ha ha ha ha)
hopefully it'll stay that way all day. (ha ha ha ha ha)
are any of those things worthy of a laugh? am i missing something here? am i too angry in the morning? it really drives me crazy. then we're in the people mover together and she is talking to her friend (who reminds me of rosanna rosanna danna) and she is saying things about her kids make-up soccer practices/games, the weather, the work week. and she's laughing after pretty much everything she says!! i can't even imagine what happens when this woman hears something that is truly funny. im afraid her head might fall off.
