Question for makeup artists
I've been looking at Ben Nye cosmetics because I'd really like to have my very own kit for doing extravagant/colorful theatre/stage makeup because I'm supposed to be assisting with makeup for a cirque-themed dance show coming up in the beginning of May and I don't want to be using my own personal collection of makeup; plus I need something more durable and longer lasting than just eyeshadow applied creatively ;)
HOWEVER.
OhmyGOSH I am overwhelmed by how many different types and colors they have available!!
Creams...cakes...eyeshadows...pencils...lipsticks...face paints...body paints...aqua paints...
AAGGGHHH!!!!

SO, oh learn'ed ones, speak into mine ears of what thou wouldst recommend!
I'm just looking to get a decently priced kit with a good variety of colors (or atleast a palette of colors that can be mixed to make more colors).
(I don't think I'll be doing anything this intense, but just for visual ideas, here's a pic I found)..
