color payoff on Coastal Scents?
I'm a makeup newbie, and I'm baffled. I've watched countless tutorials and looked at countless pictures of people wearing colors from the Coastal Scents 88-color palette, and the colors in all of them are very bright. So what in holy hell am I doing wrong that when I put them on, they're very muted and barely there?
I've tried it over:
UDPP
Painterly paintpot
Painterly + Kryolan aqua white (as seen on one tutorial)
And still they are muted.
I know better shadows will give me a better payoff (can anyone rec anything that *isn't* MAC?), but I like playing with color and can't afford to buy a ton of pots right now. I was willing to put it off as "you get what you pay for", except that I'm seeing people getting a lot more color out of these than I am.
