hey girlies!
i know a lot of you have been after peppermint patti and i myself was on the fence about it for a long time. i ended up not getting it for now (nor did i get anything else from sugarsweet! yey me!) but i make a pretty good dupe of it today. take a look!

my franken

excuse my crap application!

i don't know how many of you are into making your own frankenpolish, but here are the ingredients i used!
  • 1/6 clear polish
  • 1/6 a bright yellow creme
(i used natural code get color, but you could try OPI lemonade stand by your man or essie shorty pants)
  • 2/6 bright robin's egg blue creme
(i used orly blue collar but there are many other similar colors you could try like china glaze bahamian escape or OPI just groovy)
  • 2/6 white creme

first just mix a batch of the blue + yellow and then just lighten it with the white as needed. play around with it a bit. the most important things to remember are that it takes more white than color to lighten it up and that adding a bit more blue than yellow gives it the minty look as opposed to just a light green. you could probably just skip adding the clear polish, i just added it to thin out the polish a bit because the only white i have is such an absolute horrible formula.

now, i don't have peppermint patti to accurately compare, but it seems to be quite close. it was opaque in two coats and the streakyness wasn't bad either.

in case you can't find it or are on a bugdet like me, this maybe an option!
post you recreations in case you try it!
i hope this helps someone!

oh, and HAPPY EASTER! to everyone.
