As I was looking through memories and tags for some suggestions for the LJ book, I realized that while the posts are good, the content is really in the comments. For example, when people ask for recommendations on drugstore brands, or foundations, the post is just the question. The good stuff is in the comments. And I don't think they're including comments. So I picked a couple that were informative. Like:
Temptalia's
How-To Blend post
Ne0ndice's
Duplicates post.
doggy_biscuit's
Makeup Tips And then I figured, if they were to use a post that was a question, it wouldn't be so bad. It would show the people reading that you can come with questions, problems, etc.
Maybe something like
I have greasy eyelids and I can't get eyeshadow to stay...help. This question shows that we will try to help with personal problems, not just "what should I buy" questions. I'm trying to think of people that could be flipping through this book and I want them to see something that will make them go "hey, I have that problem. I didn't know I could go there about it". Or
Newbie Questions. And then there's the
Favorite drugstore products (not brands). People can go to that entry and see that the community is pretty involved in the comments.
It's hard to pick 5 entries that represent what we're about, which isn't limited to eyeshadow.
I personally like the first three, and the newbie questions posts.
I'm still open to suggestions, but I have to send in a list of 5 by tomorrow.
Exciting!!
