... over or under the foundation?
I have a watery nose due to some allergia isues. All of the time, in every year season, 24/7, my nose waters whiches causes me living with a tissue on my hand and the make up in that area not to last more than 5min on me resulting on extreme redness.
Even though MUFE water resist concealer works fine for me, in the end I can't help it to get removed.
So, I was wondering how I should apply it to make it last longer. I know some MUA apply it under the foundation, some others on top of it.. and I've tried both and can't see a difference. How do you pretty ladies apply it? Any tips?
And speaking of tips. Here are some that work for me and I thought I'd share them.
TIPS:
1.) Imagine you got a new foundation that's either too dark or too fair for your actual skin tone.
What I do to match it is:
- If too pale, mix it to some bit of bronzing powder. Cause you're supposed not have anything better to mix it with like any other foundation a bit darker.
- It too dark, mix it to some of the powder I use as a face highlight.
Why powder? Cause it give the liquid foundation a bit more consistancy and coverage.
2.) About consistancy. If you got a liquid foundation that's way too liquid for you to work well with it, mix it to some powder as well. As I said, it does make the final product more consistant.
3.) Now for coverage. You got a foundation that doesn't give you the coverage you want. As you now know you can mix it to some powder.. or to some liquid concealer.
Whenever you mix a liquid product to a powder one, work it for a while before applying it, we don't want any lumps on our skin, we're making our make up, not cookies.
I assume some of you knew of these tips but.. I just thought I'd list them for the constant newbies joining the community, especially if they are on a budget and can't buy more than one product if they went wrong with the one the got the day before.
That being said, I wonder.. am I going wrong with this tips? Am I doing something that I shouldn't be doing? Am I a resourcefull girl or a messy one?
Do you ladies have any other tips you'd like to share?
And yeah, that's all for now, I'll come back with a pic post soon.. or not, we'll see since my camera hates me.
Have a nice Saturday!
