Here is a little article I wrote about blending...

Blending

What is it?Blending is the art of mixing different colors (whether still similar in hue or on completely opposite sides of the color wheel) to create a gradient of color, not a muddying mess that obliterates the vibrancy and trueness of the individual colors used to create a particular ( Read more... )

Honestly I would have let it go except I find it so odd that people would jump out to defend a comment like that. She basically called half the people on here drag queen wannabes and bitched Christine out for no reason, and people come up like she's a great person for telling Christine what she really feels. Why is it admirable that she gets pissed off to the point of throwing insults based on someone else's makeup? Christine posts a lot but there are plenty of other people who post just about every day.

Maybe I should have given up talking about this but when someone is as nice and friendly as Christine is it bothers me to see people in effect ganging up on her in such a high schoolish sort of way. Especially all the talk of "oh well tons of people hate her so it's a good thing someone said something" or whatever. It's such a weird, cliquey, hating someone for no real reason reaction.

Oh, and in the previous comment I was using "you" in the hypothetical, mostly referring to the commenter's words in the first place. I'm saying I don't understand someone turning a dislike for another person's style of makeup into something worth seriously talking behind her back about and hating her and posting self righteous crap about how horrible she is.

I don't think I said anything about her lying? You said something to the effect that saying what you feel is better than lying, and I said that there is a difference between lying and just keeping shit to yourself.

My basic problem with this is that it was an immature, insulting comment that had no reasonable purpose except to tell someone else how much they suck, and I don't think that's what this community is supposed to be about. Further, I don't understand the reaction. I know people are different, but I do think allowing a distaste for someone's makeup turn into the kind of self righteous, condescending, and pissed off attitude the first poster displayed is a sign of immaturity. She of course has the right to say what she wants, but don't expect me not to bitch that kind of stuff out whenever I see it. I don't know Christine that well, but in my experience she's been helpful. It's not about being devoted to defending her (although I do think she's great), it's more along the lines of being bothered by that kind of shit in general. Believe me, I would respond this way if the comment had been directed at any other courteous poster in this community.

Maybe I've just been wasting my breath and yeah probably reading too much into it, ah well. Honestly, to sum it up, I commented so much because mean, self-righteous people piss me off.

haha, I'm honestly exhausted from all of this.
and sorry for misreading the "you" part.

I thought the drag queen part was just funny, I didn't take it seriously at all xD

and I understand your reasons for defending her completely.
I mean, I feel the same way, but I never comment if someone makes a rude comment, I think its petty and rude comments are usually pretty funny. I really do admire you for stepping up and so strongly defending her, and in the future, anyone else =)

I think, my problem is I'm so horribly apathetic about everyone, including myself.

I had a troll on my last post, and I didn't bother commenting, at least not until a bunch of other people attacked the troll, just because I didn't care. The only reason I did reply was because I think I might feel a little dumb if everyone else was defending me and I didn't at least say something.

weeeellll
at least the community got some excitement..or if not the community, the people that commented here with me reading into things too much...with all of us reading into it too much.

hahaha..oh man, wouldn't it be kind of horribly sad, but a little funny...if letbulletsrain just RANDOMLY picked someone in some community (temptalia and this one) said stuff just to start shit amongst us just for laughs?
I mean, obviously she didn't..but the idea's kinda funny. Or not. I'm just being lame again.

Hahaha, that would be pretty funny/depressing.

But yeah, I understand what you're saying about everything and if someone said something about me I'd brush it off, but I have this weirdly passionate reaction to people being mean to nice people. I dunno what my problem is, and maybe I should back off things like this, but I can't help wanting to get all indignant and preachy when someone is rude/insulting/bitchy to someone who hasn't done anything wrong.
