*considers for a moment*

Today was sort of my last day at home.  Sure, I don't leave til Monday.  But tomorrow we're going out to dinner for my uncle's 55th and just sorta...doing nothing.  Monday we leave at 3:30 and my parents will be out in the morning.  It just feels over.  (totally typed "lover there)  And it was most certainly my last dinner at home for 2.5 months, which basically makes my stomach and taste buds incredibly sad campers.  If the food at school were halfway decent, I wouldn't be so sad, but seing as it is as dismal as can be (OK, I'm sure that it could possibly be worse, but you know) home food is a wonderful thing.

My mother told me that I could have whatever I wanted.  Mistake on her part.  Of course I asked for the spinach ravioli recipe with 3 cheese filling, toss on some cooked down, canned tomatos for sauce and a little grated cheese and you have heaven.  We even had spinach as our veggie.  Dinner was fabulous to say the least.

Then there was the lost bet.  This is both a good and a bad thing because typically my mom only bets when it's sure that she'll win.  She bet that dad would have the family room  vacuumed when we got home.  No.  I knew he wouldn't, I just knew.  So I bet her a Boston Cream Pie.  Of course, he hadn't gotten it done in the five hours we were gone, so I got a cake.  And a darn yummy one.  It just meant that my mother was a rather unhappy camper.  She'd asked him this morning to please please please have that done for me when I get home.  It doesn't take 20 minutes to take the little rugs out from the kitchen and vacuum.  And he was burning DVDs for her.  Or watching TV.  We fully support house work on commercials in this household  He just...hadn't.  But, hey, Boston Cream Pie came out of it.

This morning went quite well.  Jaime (not pronounced as it should, for all you Spanish speakers) was a doll this morning and we got her a couple really cute shirts from Aeropostale and Limited Too.  Her sister's birthday was also this week, so she helped us choose something for that too.  I got this huge slice of stuffed pizza from Sbarro, which was probably a mistake, but boy was it tasty.  I also caved and bought myself the earrings I've been oggling at Claires (starry clusters, 3 pack) 'cause I had a coupon.  and have wanted earrings like that for a couple years, they're always just so...long.  Ew.

Anyways.  That was the better part of my day.  Saw the belt I wanted at Wet Seal.  Should have bought it, but I have nothing to wear it with.  Did get an oatmeal colored tank to go under my pretty shirt.  mmmm it's cozy and I have a feeling I'll start living in it.

Am mostly packed.  just gotta throw in my toilet articles, clock radio and spread some jackets and sweatshirts on top.

I'm not entirely sure I want to leave.  Too late now.
