My new life

It’s simply incredible! I can’t believe that my last update has been in January. January, for crying out loud!!! Actually, I didn’t realize it took such a long time to get back here. Actually, I lived on from week to week and tried to ignore that I used to be around at least each Friday. Maybe you guess that my absence wasn’t my choice at all.
*Shakes head* Only now I really comprehend that it took four months to get back. If I had known in January it would take that long, I’m sure I would have protested loudly, struggled, shouted, whatever… But, as it is, I couldn’t look ahead, and, looking back, that was all right!
I didn’t paint a thing since four months… *sobs*

Well, I don’t want to bore you with a long story. In January it was conceivable that until end of March I had to clear out the family house plus move somewhere to live and be happy ever after (*g*). We found a new house, signed up, and fulfilled the dream we dreamed for ages: Living in an old farm house in the country. Oh, yeah, and I was well aware that I would have to pay for this: One and a half hour to work and back.

Now that I’ve actually settled in I don’t regret my decision. But it was such a long way to get here… We had to clear out the family house, as I said. If you ever had to fulfil a task like this, you know what I’m talking about. The house was built by my late grandpa in 1934, and when we cleared it, we had the feeling of dragging out centuries… At first, I was reluctant to throw anything away; it felt as if I was throwing away the memory of my grandparents and parents. Lovingly, I wrapped up everything and put it in labelled boxes. Start of February, I calculated I would have moved all furniture and boxes way before Easter.
Relying on my famous efficiency I planned the move on a Saturday; get in hospital for a due operation on Monday, and leave hospital next Saturday to stay happily at the new home - wishful thinking, of course. It took the whole March and most of April to clear the old house; and clearing out meant leaving nothing at all, not a single nail in the wall. (And let me tell you, the cellar nearly killed us… We used to leave in the afternoon, happy and sure we had managed a lot, only to return the other day to realize that definitely somebody had been there the meantime, placing more heaps of items to be moved.)

Due to my plan I terminated all contracts. Cool that the telephone company reacted at once and terminated my internet connection at the old home. Not cool that they weren’t capable of activating an internet connection at my new home. You see, when I decided to live in the country, far away from the next store or McDonalds or gas station I at first made sure the village I’m going to live in HAS internet connection. It was promised by the seller, and it was promised by the telephone company. But it took me weeks and endless phone calls to get that connection.
And today I’ve got it!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I’m back.
Yes.
