The sounds of metal on metal rang through the halls both muted and
reflected by the Ice filling it from floor to ceiling. Deep within the
frozen citadel a small group of warriors fought to take down the blood
prince Council, a trio of some of the most powerful of the San'layn
looking only to their queen, but first...they had to get to them.

with a curse the paladin turned in time to block the blow from the
San'layn scanning the chaos for her companion that was supposed to be
entertaining him "Blast it all to Fel...where is that...oh!". Ducking
again and rapidly backpedaling to put her back to a wall the slender
elf brought the shield that most likely weighed as much as she did up
grunting as it absorbed blows calling out between them "my lovely
druid friend...could you please tell the death knight that this is
not...gah...time to sleep?!?" the druid snorted...she wasn't quite
sure how that sound came from a walking talking piece of bark but yet
there it was...and started calling upon the magics that answered to
his call "Cenarius...please remind this death knight that we would
greatly appreciate he find a better time to nap...".

with a swirl of leaves and the scent of summer despite the bitter cold
the death knight stood up again muttering "took you long enough.".
Rolling her eyes the paladin snapped out to him "will you pretty
please be a diva later and get this idiot off of me?!?". Scowling the
undead started with a litany of insults describing the parentage of
the creature beating on the paladin's shield eventually managing to
irritate it enough to get it to charge at him...just in time for a
giant two handed blade to swing in neatly separating head from
shoulders. In the sudden lul of combat Shapiper peered at the other
paladin wielding a blade almost as large as herself with a quirked
eyebrow...started to comment then just wisely shut her mouth and set
to taking stock of those who ventured in with her.

As companions went...it was a very odd group comprised of three
paladins, one from each frame of mind, a pair of Death knights with a
diva complex, a sadistic druid, a pair of priests...one with a passion
for fashion and one with an almost equal if unhealthy fascination with
the floor especially in regards to one of the death knights and a pair
of hunters who were of the shoot first ask questions of the corpse
frame of mind. Not your normal collection by all means...but they got
the job done, usually, this was unfortunately one of the unusual
times.

after a few minutes of rest they started gathering up again...at which
point a pair of absences were noticeable. with a sigh the paladin
glanced to the druid who for some unhealthy reason seemed to always
know the answer to the inevitable question "where did they go this
time...and please get them back here?". was it her imagination or did
he look almost...smug? sighing she leaned back against the wall
waiting till the hunter and one of the other paladins came back with
the druid trailing after...definitely smug. casting a look to the sky
she sent up a silent prayer "Light...if you get us out of here i
promise i will not stop until the knights under my command get time to
visit home."

An candle-mark found her staring across a desk at a very bored
secretary bearing the colors of the crusade all the while quietly
reminding herself that these were her allies...despite her wish to
throttle them. taking a deep breath she decided to try a different
angle "let me rephrase...these men need a break, like it or not they
are not fodder for you to throw at arthas." the secretary just gave
her another bored look and pointed to the dauntingly large stack of
forms before returning to his book. With a sigh piper snapped the
papers up and gave the secretary a thin smile walking out into the
snow whistling to her drake and heading for an isolated peak.

sliding to the ground the knight fell over backwards into a snowbank
and screamed her frustration glancing the the drake after something
that sounded suspiciously like a snicker "what are you looking at ya
great flying lizard?". For all his size Tick-Tock managed to glide
across the snow to nose his rider in amusement before suddenly
mantling and glaring behind her then almost as suddenly dropping it
and wandering back down the slope. a chuckle behind her made her twist
her head to peer behind her smiling suddenly at the paladin making his
way down from his own mount to sprawl and pull her head to his
shoulder "you look like you want to remove heads, i assume you've been
up against the secretaries again?" with a snort she glanced up to the
sky "Unfortunately, i have a mountain of paperwork to get my team
cycled out for some needed Rest."

to his credit and most likely safety he didn't laugh at her but
managed to pull a convincing grimace "ouch, how bad?" wordlessly she
pointed to the thick stack beside her in its pouch at which point his
grimace became real "looks like you will be busy for a while...".
Stifling a sigh she nodded then grinned impishly "you know, it would
go faster if i had help..." the look on his face was almost comical
"oh um...yes well...you don't need me messing anything up and all..."
grinning viscously she rolled over and kissed him "awww...you sure? i
might end up having to do even more work if i do it myself, might take
ages." the paladin mulled this over a moment finally putting two and
two together sighing sufferingly "You...do not fight fair." Winking
she bounced up and started digging through her packs "Of course not
love...I'm female. Now where are my normal clothes..."
