Ho-Hum and a Rum-a-Dum-Dum

During lunch yesterday I completed some more Christmas shopping odds and ends. Now all I really need is a giftie for my other nephew. He’s into a bit of the electro/industrial music that I am into (like VNV Nation; Funkervogt), so I may rustle up some Cds I have at the house and buy him some sort of Metropolis Comp and make him a music package.

Tonight Joe and I need to finish some more of HIS shopping. We’ll be hitting the Wine Source for some tasty treats.

Speaking of tasty treats, I bought some rum for hot cider tomorrow night. We’ll be venturing up to 34th Street with Miss Stacia, Mr. Jeff, and Miss Starr and possibly a couple more peeps… yay! Should be gaudy fun, *Hon!*

Today, I am being treated to lunch by Joe’s Aunt. Should be a good time, although I have never just hung out with his aunt before. It will be just her and I. Weird. But I feel like part of the family, and there’s plenty to talk about, so things should go swimmingly. Besides, I get to take a longish lunch because of it!

Last night we noticed Salem having a, er….problem. Mr. Salem was running around the house all crazy-like. At the time I thought nothing of it. But then I noticed that there was an “Item” not properly placed in the litter boxes. Uh-oh. We found Salem and sure enough, (I’ll just say one word:) TINSEL. Let’s just say we had to trim it so we wouldn’t hurt his insides. He’s been constantly eating the tinsel off of our tree ever since I put it up. You’d think it would taste bad and be completely unsatisfying, but NOOOO…

Anyway, just thought I’d share that with y’all whether you liked it or not.

Since I am not going to the gym tonight (today is an Arms/Weights Day), I may make it my priority to start decorating the tree. It would be nice to have SOMEthing up before the weekend hits us. And I really don’t want to be decorating the day before Christmas because I think that’s too late. And too stressfully time consuming. This year I am challenging myself to make do with the decorations I have. Halloween and Christmas. We also have a large box of decorations Joe’s mum dropped off a few weeks ago. We haven’t even opened that up yet…
