Just got back from my spring break vacation. Michael and I took a small trip up to the Natural Bridge since we've never seen it before. Driving into the place, I gotta admit, I was a bit scurred of the place. But, we did a lot and enjoyed ourselves!
1. Toy Museum : This was a little place FULL of old toys. It was kinda cool, cept it was a bit like looking into someone's attic who collects toys. None the less we got to see two dolls from 1740 and the tiniest dolls ever created (dressed up "fleas"). And, of course we got to see TONS of things we used to own...barbies, ninja turles, robots, Dinosaurs...all sorts.
2. Wax Museum and factory : A bit creepy, but fun. Lots of people made of wax and how they are made.
3. The Natural Bridge : Beautiful! It was a good hour or so walk one way and we had to walk back (we even counted how many steps just to get to the front entrance... 113), but it was worth it! There were lots to look at including a "lost river" (I *think* that's the name of it) which is a steady flow of water from the moutain --- no one knows where the source for the water is.
4. The Natural Bridge Cavern : The Cavern was fun, but dank. There were a few bats that were kinda fun and it was neat to see all the different formations inside.
5. The Natural Bridge Zoo : There were a lot of free-roaming animals that we were unaware of, but cool with. We got to feed llamas, camels, goats, and giraffs. The goats did jump out of their pens and walked past the tigers which growled, hunched over at the goats when they made noise.
6. The Safari Zone : We had no idea what was in store for us on this. Turns out, you buy a bucket of feed and drive through free ranging animals. These animals included, but not limited to: blackbucks, ostrich, emus, deer, elk, camels, more bucks, wildebeest, yaks, bisons, pigs, and zebras. And LOTS of llamas. You haven't lived until you've had a llama's head in your car and have been chased by a wildebeest for food. The stupid llamas would stand in front of my car and wouldn't move unless we showed them the bucket of food. When we were out, they wouldn't move at all.
