Eurgh.
Okay, so this weekend sucks. My mom wants us to put up Christmas decorations, which is all well and good, but the thing is, my dad's home this weekend, and so I'm in the basement right now listening to them argue. About *Christmas*. Is my dad Ebenezer Scrooge, or something?
The general thing is that he thinks that we shouldn't put up Christmas decorations because we're not Christian and therefore shouldn't celebrate Christmas because it's their little holiday. He also thinks that celebrating will force me to become 'an optimistic dreamer without grounding in the real world'. As you can see, his logic fails. Majorly. So my mom's arguing with him. And it's just kind of ruining the spirit of things.
