Relaxing Weekend
Mom and I enjoyed our overnight trip to the East Coast. We arrived at Disney's Vero Beach Resort late yesterday evening. It is a beautiful hotel and right on a pristine beach although you did have to climb down a steep dune to get anywhere near the water. I don't understand how those sea turtles do it...
Last night we endured a horrendous sing-a-long to earn a couple bites of a tasty s'more before going to bed. Foolishly, I rose with the sun to run on the beach. I forgot what a workout that was! Then I took two more walks down the same stretch before and after the scrumptious Mother's Day Brunch that I treated Mom to.
We also went to McKee Botanical Garden of Rte 1. A lot of water lillies but not much else.
Tonight, I'll finish watching Chamber of Secrets. Yes, this Muggle still making her way through the Harry Potter series. Currently, I am reading Goblet of Fire. Thank Ben Franklin for the invention of the library system! LOL
