pretend like your 10 again

I'm completely in vacation mode and it is so good. I've read some books, caught up with old friends, spent quality family time, and have eaten quite a variety of pies. (Key Lime is always my favorite.) What I've enjoyed the most is the bike rides and tree climbs that I've spent with my 10 year old cousin Anna Lane. Biking around the neighborhood might seem kinda boring b/c, hey, I've lived in this neighborhood for almost 10 years and I know all about it. But it's actually just so nice and easy to bike around in beautiful weather and then go climb a tree in the park. Anna thinks that just because we're in a tree that people can't see us. I guess it makes her feel like she's watching what people would be doing if no one was watching. So I've enjoyed pretending like I'm 10 again. The fixed-up bike and the new tent and sleeping bag are going to get a lot of action this spring. I'm very excited. Also exciting: I inherited some niiice thrift-store quality t-shirts from my brother's elementary years baseball teams and such.

As far as New Years Resolutions go (since I'll be in California and I know you guys will be making entries about this) here's a list:
- send at least one note/card/letter a week to a friend that doesn't go to Stetson
- be outside as much as possible
- let myself dream without putting limits on it immediately, and figure out how to follow that dream
- exercise at least 3 times a week

I want everyone to know that even though I may not have called you or talked to you over the break, I have thought about you and thanked God for you every day. I'm so blessed to have such great friends at school and such an awesome family to come home to. I do miss you, but I'm enjoying being right where I am for the time being. See you next year!
