music is abstract. Pitches have no imaginative representation. the musician not only creates, as in visual or written, but also responds to what he/she is creating while in the process so it's meaning is totally spontaneous to the moment. It's like the most immediate form of new criticism, it's all coming from the music. It's so distincitve from visual and written art, I love it. Sorry i can't describe what i mean better.

i'm getting really sentimental lately. it's weird because the things i feel sentimental towards i also feel very alienated from.
