painting

So as if I am not busy enough I decided that since I'm tired of my nuetral coloured home I might spice it up a bit by painting. My entry way will be a muted lime green, my hallway will be country blue, and the living room a green between sage, mint, and baby blue...hard to describe. All the trim and doors will be white. The best part is the paint is supplied by the building every so many years and we are due to have it so voila a free home makeover...ok so not free because I got nicer brushes to use and tape and I'll probably get material to make curtains and pillow covers but at least much cheaper!!! I'm hoping it will brighten up the living space and make it more "fresh" looking.

What else is new...

Today I had a melt down. Nobody can truly prepare you for the fact that at some point as a new mom you will literally feel like you have no patience left. You get to figure out for yourself that even though you would die for your child; you in the same moment want to freak out that they are crying/whinning yet again and you can't pin point why. At some point you will just sit down and cry because you feel like if you don't you'll scream. Then a couple hours later your baby will need his(or her) bottle and they will be snuggling in your arms and they will reach out and touch your face or smile or do something equally endearing and you'll cry again because you just can NOT believe you are really a mom and that you were so upset earlier...somedays are like that...today was my day.

Ken's expected layoff date is June 17...this may be part of the reason I'm stressed and emotional.

Tuesday I had another meeting to discuss my coworker, I handled things according to my conscience and have to leave the rest in their hands...I know the truth and that really is the most important thing.

My birthday is the monday of May 24(not as in May 24th but as in a twofour of beer because so many people buy a 24 case and party it up at the cottage for the first time this season...weird Canadian sayings)thank you Queen Victoria for giving Ken the day off to hang with me :)

On May 19 I have a meeting with a community serv person who will see if I qualify for a subsidized educational upgrade and/or help me to find a career where I can utilize my supervisory skills. I am currently feeling as though completing this online Math course in time for university is just not realistic therefore I may be able to find my dream job or be trained for it, maybe even get Math assistance...for FREE and I like FREE...ok so it's not FREE exactly, my taxes contribute to such things but it feels FREE so it's good enough...

I'll post pics as the painting progresses.
Have a good night/day
