A room of one’s own
In addition to the roof deck, which is off my bedroom, we have a little deck outside the master bedroom. I wanted to have a little place to work there. It’s fun looking over the street.
I had a table here before, but it was broken, so I threw it away. I got a rusty glass table on marketplace. The cushions on the chairs were destroyed. I bought new ones. I got an umbrella online. I got a base -a pretty one, even! - for free at a garage sale.
These last couple weeks I have been sanding and refinishing the rusty table & chairs. I have painted the table and chairs blue, and have blue cushions. The umbrella itself is also blue. But the umbrella pole, and the base, I painted a bright copper. And I got hardware to secure my umbrella in the stand.
I am finished now. I am sitting out here :)
Ben made me that planter. I will plant something in it. I tried bulbs but the squirrels ate them.
