Bored at work. Working in Rehab tonight/this morning.

Old people are cute when they're not mean.

I really need to find my gym pass and go.

My Peds work schedule starting next week is still not out and we're all getting annoyed, as we need to be able to plan our lives for the next month.

My mom evidently had some kind of procedure (I'm guessing a bronchoscopy) done yesterday and left me a message saying "Yeah, they told me I was coughing so badly that they had to stop the procedure and 'bag' me? What does that mean?" I totally freaked out, tried to call her back, and got her voicemail so I left a message and she hasn't called back. I hope Pi and Gra are checking on her. All this being-away-from-my-family stuff is getting way too old. My mom emailed me practically begging me to come up this weekend ("We can go to the zoo!") but I'm team captain for my Peds floor for the Heart Walk on Saturday so I can't go. I'm missing my family and it's sad.

There's an elderly lady patient here whose husband is constantly at her bedside. They met when she was 12. She's 76 now. There's a picture on her nightstand of the two of them when she was 15. She's looking at something off-camera, and he's got his arm around her, gazing at her with the most loving "yeah, this is my girl" smile on his face. It takes my breath away. Good thing I left my phone at home tonight, or I'd be tempted to take a picture of the picture, which I'm sure would be some kind of violation.

I think I want to do my grocery shopping at Target from now on. It's more expensive, but the food (especially the produce) is so much better, and I don't leave feeling completely violated like at Wal-Mart. That's the one thing Tulsa has over St. Louis: a Super Target with a grocery store. (St. Louis peeps, please make my day by correcting me if I'm wrong. Target Greatland off Brentwood doesn't count - what does "Greatland" even mean, anyway?)

I guess I'm just biding my time until I have to pass 6:00 meds. I've already played all the online games that the St. Francis intranet will let me play (WHY block websudoku.com? Why??) and checked my mail from whoever would email me between 11:00pm and 7:00am (Target telling me to buy baby strollers), and I can't think of anything else to do. Maybe I'll get something to drink, as I had Ramen noodles for lunch and could now drink a 2-liter of water if I knew it wouldn't make my bladder wake me up all day.

Okay bye.

P.S. The Office is coming back, The Office is coming baaaaaaack! Boo: work. Yay: Tivo.
