Finally, a break.
Next week we will be tucked way back in the lodgepole pine forest by the lake. Bonfires on the shore, cooking and heating by way of a crackling fire in the old wood cookstove, keeping an eye out for bear footyprints like we saw last visit, fishing on the lake, snuggling under down blankets. Goodness through and through.
We will duck into the park probably for a day or two of fumaroles and mud pots, and then down to the Tetons and pretty little Jenny Lake at their feet. We will pretend we are cowboys, settlers, pro-photographers, expert fishermen, at least for a week.
