Two more days until I'm 23.... YIKES!
First and foremost I got a phone call yesterday from the coach for Kryptonite (the hockey team I tried out for) and I made the team!! Helllll yea! I'm sooo excited!! It's crazy though cuz she said our first game will most likely be next week. I just hope its not one of the nights I planned my birthday parties for. Or Wednesday cuz America's Next Top Model is on haha. Ya, I know I'm a dork. But Nicole and I have made it into our night together. And we each have to make a "themed" snack for the evening. For example, tonights theme was bananas, so I made banana bread of course lol.
I celebrated my birthday with my family on Monday even though its not until Friday. But that was the only night we could all get together. Or so we thought, my brother ended up having to work which sucked. But it was still nice. We sat around and watched America's Funniest Home Videos most of the night which always makes me pee my pants. For my birthday my sister scheduled me an appointment to go get my belly button pierced on Tuesday. My moms getting her belly button done with me too which is cute. On my 20th birthday the two of us went and got tattoos together lol. Also, from my parents I got a new Vector grip hockey stick which I'm pretty excited about. It'll probably come in tomorrow (I hope). Want to know something sad? I'm actually considering going and playing shinny on Friday night, which is my birthday! I seriously can't wait to get back on the ice though!
And then this weekend, I'm hoping Brad has a little trip planned *hint hint*. I told him I don't want any gifts, I just want to leave town for the weekend! Have a nice relaxing couple of days. So here's hoping :)
It was cute, on Monday night after we left my parents we headed downtown. I wouldn't tell Brad where we were going for fear that he wouldn't go lol. So I just told him it was a surprise. Well, I ended up taking him to the Suicide Girls burlesque show at the Starlite Room. HOLY SHIT! What an awsome show!!!! Seriously, if they were performing again tomorrow I would happily pay the $$$ again to see it. It was honestly really cool and sexxxy. We left at 12:30 and the show was still going. I felt bad though cuz Brad had to be up so early in the morning. I don't understand how people can stay out and party on a Monday night. Don't people have work the next morning!?!?
Yesterday I got such a nice surprise at work though :) A HUGGGGE bouquet of lillies showed up for me in a vase and all. Sure enough it was from Audra and Karm for helping take care of Kayla!! It was sooooo sweet, but you know a card would've done just fine LOL! But I'm not complaining. My condo smells sooo good now :)
So two more sleeps until I'm 23. That is such a scary number to me. It seems so mature and old. I feel like I should have 6 kids by now and ready to pop out another one lol. I'm getting sooooo old. It's funny how sometimes I still consider myself a "teenager". If I'm ever referred in some sort of way as an adult, I often think they're mistaken. But I suppose they say your only as old as you feel. And if I still feel like I'm 19, perhaps that's a blessing?
