(no subject)
So I went to talk to Schlag about my midterm. Much to my surprise, he actually gave me points back on my midterm for the problems that I had done poor writeups for (I did not ask for these points, mind you. I have this tendency to ask for lower grades when I deserve lower grades, and to be content with my grade when I think I should have had higher.) There were two amusing points of the conversation though.
1: I enter his office, his first words are.
"Ah, Youlian. As I recall, you did reasonably well on the midterm. Let's see what you missed."
I did reasonably well? I'd hate to see what he wrote to the people who did poorly...
2:
Schalg: "Have you started the next problem set yet?"
Me: "Not yet. I was planning on starting this weekend."
Schlag: "Ooooh, that is very bad. That will mean you'll have just one and a half weeks to do the problem set."
Whooooo!
