Me, Sarah, and Melora Creagor
The Rasputina show rocked my socks! Me and Sarah were right up front...we could touch Melora. Actually, she damned near poked Sarah's eye out with her bow. They didn't play many of their older songs because the new girl didn't know how to play them yet. Sadly, this included Transylvanian Concubine. BUT, when they came back for their encore, people started shouting songs they wanted to hear and I yelled "Rusty the Skatemaker" and Melora asked me what I wanted to hear and Sarah and I repeated it and she played it solo for us, since again the new girl didn't know it. Yay! After they left, Sarah and I moved off the floor to let someone who liked LPD come to the stage and we went to take photobooth pics. (I didn't know Social had a photobooth!) When we were finished, Melora was standing a few feet away so Sarah pushed me to go talk to her since I'm the brave one who's met millions of bands. So, needless to say, we got to converse with her for a few minutes and Melora took half of our photobooth pics (because she never gets pics of her fans) and we got little messages written in our cd sleeves.
Afterwards, tame_my_tiger and Jody dragged us to Backbooth for Ladies night...free drinks, free cover! Though the music was all in all crappy. Found Seneca and hung out with her and her friends for awhile. Then, as we were leaving, I walked out the door and bumped right into Ron! Yay! So I got to tell him hi and give him a smooch before departing. Good times.
