We're Just Ordinary People, Maybe We Should Take It Slow...
Together with MM, was able to watch John Legend - Evolver concert last Thursday night at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. and one of the reasons i love Manila Mafia is their utmost and sheer love for all kinds of Music (i think we rub off music tastes to each other. hehe.) Since Amsterdam is a major stop of all touring artists, we make it a point to grab the chance to watch as much as possible. aside from our nasty humor (we only have each other to amuse), music appreciation tops our everyday conversations, (and Manila chismis/gossip too). :p
An artist that we're really impressed with is Mr. Legend's front act for the tour - Laura Izibor. Kinda reminds you of Alicia Keys because of her R&B and Soul style and wild curly hair, but she's got a funk of her own. Great voice that really catches your attention. Plus the fact that she's really pretty too :) Since she's still starting, most of her songs can only be found in her own website or in her MySpace. I'm really happy that John Legend is giving a talent like her a very big chance. Listen to her songs! =) Just saw her biography! She's born 1987! Woah :D
And the main man of the concert! John Legend! Needs no introduction, I've always loved his songs since Ordinary People (that he played Live and everyone was like awwwwww ♥) I LOVE THAT SONG. We watched the 2nd night of the concert and his voice is still very full and strong. He really gave a great performance with almost no break at all! :)
