We went to Amsterdam last weekend. The train schedules run amok because of the crazy weather, we had to go down Schiphol airport first before Amsterdam Centraal. Took us a lot of time. After eating brunch, it started to snow like crazy! To some of us (me included) - this is the first time experiencing snow, amidst the cold, we went out to play.
We tried to taste the snow. LOL. It tastes like... ice tubig. Making a point to check the weather every time we head out somewhere, we came prepared. Thick bubble jackets to fight off the ice! Like what mrs_five said, it's very pretty when it had just fallen and still white, but the time it melts - it's slippery! and looks like chocolate slush@

bwah, snow falling blurs everything. Gian is eating snow. lol.
It seems like it's just raining, but the strong wind was blowing ice on our faces,
i dunno but it was funny, all of us ended up laughing our frozen asses off.
It hasn't snowed again, I think that was a one-week thing- to welcome the winter season. I heard that it's coldest here in January-March. Thickest snow. I'll just have to worry about that later.
