Event 5B: Magic Club

Arthur smiled in satisfaction. It was finally done. Though, he did have to change it a little, he was quite happy with how it turned out. He hung the poster on the door. It read:

Krinan was standing in the hallway, watching his fellow classmate hang the poster and look incredibly happy with himself. He had been in the dorm room when Arthur had made it.

"You know, no one's going to join something they think is a hoax." Norse Paganist that he was, he wouldn't let some Saxon brat have the moment. "You should give them something to believe in you know, clapping and all that." Pushing away from the wall, he took out his notebook and began writing very precise runes onto a sheet of paper with a, ironically, magic marker. "Gnist," he murmured, and the words flashed away, leaving a tiny scorch mark behind. "Need to show them you mean what you say."

His family was rigorously Protestant. Their only son would, most likely, never tell them that he had converted to paganism in his first year of middle school. So fascinated by the subject, he had trained himself in the knowledge of runes and runic ensigns. It was by mere luck that he had the focus to use his gods' powers for himself.

At a, uh, much smaller scale. "A

Only a little. xD Sorry it took awhile, I was watching a movie. eyebrow_scone January 2 2010, 03:04:24 UTC
Arthur frowned at his roommate. "You don't know that people won't join. And do you always have to showoff like that? We shouldn't be doing things that cause a fire," he was eying the scorch marks.

"And I don't like the sound of 'demonstration.' What do you have in mind?" Though he didn't always get along with Krinan, he wasn't too terribly apposed to him when it came to magic. "As long as it won't cause too much damage to anything... Oh! I know, why don't we bring out the faeries?"

Aha, I was late because I was watching a movie so XD haugfolket January 2 2010, 03:11:57 UTC
"First of all, that would never cause a fire. The ink is the only thing that catches light." He had practiced enough to know. "And other people can't see the folk, you know. We might be able to, but most everyone else can't. We'd look stupid."

He walked closer, and touched the poster. "You forgot to put the meeting times on, can't you British people do anything right?"

That's pretty ironic. Ah, can we add Bela soon? She wants to RP again. xD eyebrow_scone January 2 2010, 03:48:42 UTC
Arthur wasn't pouting. He wasn't. "If they went to England, they'd be able to see them..."

Arthur sputtered at the accusation. So what if it was true? Where did he get off insulting his lineage?! "There is nothing wrong with British people! You're the one with viking heritage, so speak for yourself!"

He smirked softly. "The vikings were a brilliant people, Saxon. they had schools. Women's rights were very high, they were noble oh-- and we actually bathed before the nineteenth century." He gave an eye roll, looking at the other blond.

I stink with insults. D': eyebrow_scone January 2 2010, 04:40:55 UTC
Arthur was positively fuming. "Noble?! They were barbarians! They raided villages and killed people! What's noble about that?" How dare this man insult him like this?! The British were a proud people, and this attitude would not be tolerated. Arthur didn't know how someone like this man could see his beautiful faeries.

It's cool so do I XD haugfolket January 2 2010, 05:24:50 UTC
"What's noble about the Saxons coming through our villages armed and killing women and children who wouldn't convert to Christianity?" He asked, head tilting.

Let's say Arthur is religous even though he uses Black Magic. OTL eyebrow_scone January 2 2010, 05:55:43 UTC
"It's noble because they were doing the Lord's mission! They were saving those people from a life of sin!" Maybe that was too far. But he was angry, and he didn't always think clearly when he was mad.

((I know nothing of Religion, if I didn't make that obvious enough. :'D))

OH LOL AND KRIS IS A PROUD PAGAN haugfolket January 2 2010, 05:57:15 UTC
Stepping forward, he took the slightly shorter blond by the collar of his cape. "They were my people. What I do is no sin, you bastard. What's noble about killing a child? Tell me, right now!"

I know. xD I did it to make him mad. Iggy can't give up with out some of a fight. :'D eyebrow_scone January 2 2010, 06:12:55 UTC
"Let go of me!" Arthur slapped the others hand away. Just as he was about to retaliate, he stopped. Okay, he had gone to far. Arthur sighed. He would have to abandon his pride for a second.

He looked away from his roommate. "...I was out of line. I apologize." But he wasn't going down completely. "But it's not like your people didn't do horrible things either." Arthur glanced back to his roommate.

He gave an indignant sniff, letting him go and dusting himself off. "I know they did. But don't you dare blame their religion for it."

Arthur sighed. "Fine, whatever, it wasn't because of Paganism. Do you want to help me with this or not," he decided to change the subject, not liking where it had brought them. He may not like his roommate, but he didn't want to fight. He looked to the club room. There was a lot of unpacking to do.

((As you can see from above, Natalia came in already. But I'm kinda confused on how to include her again. Should we just time-skip to afterward? All that really happened was I gave her a love potion to use on Ivan in return for her membership. Cause I think it would be silly to do it all over again. Long OOC notes, I know. xD))

"Yeah, I'll help." He walked in, looking through the boxes and blowing dust off of covers of books.
"I have a lot of rune and alchemy books we might use."

{Oooh, well alright!}

"Very well." Arthur walked into the room as well, opening the box of potions.

----------Timeskip----------((I'm starting from where Natalia starts putting books on the shelves, before Arthur introduced himself.))

"I'm Arthur Kirkland, by the way. And this is Kristoffer Milne," he gestured in the vague direction of his roommate as he got to unpacking his vials.

"Natalia Arlovskaya.", she said bluntly, and continued putting the books on the shelves.

There was silence for a while, before she broke it.

"...can you control someone's feelings with voodoo?", she asked. Natalia obviously didn't know the answer, or she wouldn't have been asking.

Usually, she wouldn't be this social with others, but if there were two so-called experts in the field of magic right here, why waste the opportunity to be a little more informed?

Arthur looked up. "Eh? Feelings? I don't think I've ever heard of that..." Arthur looked over to Krinan. Maybe he knew...
