Sugarcane in the easy morning, wheather vein's my one and lonely
As you can tell, I rarely use this thing anymore, but I thought I might just post something for once.
Last weekend was bloody awesome. Caught the train to Sydney on Friday and met up with Sarah at Strathfield, then went to Lidcombe and walked around trying to find our motel. Finally got there, and ready with a bottle of wine. Got a couple of cute pics and then headed to Acer arena, then got more and more drinks! Ok, so, Sarah had gotten me tickets to Panic at the Disco for my 21st. So that's why we were there. We weren't interested in seeing the support bands, and just sat out and had drinks, etc. Was quite fun watching all the 'emo' (using term loosely) walk past......and the crowd seemed a lot more normal than I expected. Just people of all kinds just wanting to hear some music.
We headed inside and our seats were pretty much right in the middle, so much that our tickets even had separate doors on them. To cut this short, the show was amazingly cool. The band were great and the set was pretty pleasing. They played a good mix of old and new (not that I ws much of a fan of the older stuff as the new) but either was it was great. It was really cool seeing those guys up there having a great time, and even better knowing that they're only 21.
We had an amazing weekend and on the saturday night we just hung out in the city, which involved getting a bottle of rum and macca's coke....and then heading back to Lidcombe and staying at the pub for hours. That was followed by heading back to our room, having more drinks and watching rage, whilst giving Sarah some music lessons :P
Got to bed at 5 that morning and up at 7. Then it was quite sad having to say bye to her :C It really was such an awesome weekend, and I felt pretty low having to end it.
Anyway....I've been writing some songs lately...being really persistent. Every day I have ideas and feel like writing stuff. I'm even getting more confident with lyrics. Pretty happy with that. So tonight, I have a carton of extra dry, my new guitar and any other equipment i need, and I'm getting a few songs done.
I'll post some photos and stuff later.
Other than that....I'm really hapy with sarah :) Everything's perfect.
