Failure to launch... let's complain lol
Today just never got off the ground. I gave up.
Starting off, it was cold, dark, and rainy this morning. =p Never a good beginning to a day. By the time I got to work, the campus had lost power
(HA!! Seacrest just screwed up his intro and restarted on live television.... anyways..)
the campus had lost power a couple times already and the network was down. Of course once the network goes down, IT can't ever seem to get it back up for hours... T____T" So basically, I couldn't clock in, couldn't do inventry and change the info in the databases, couldn't surf online, and after the on/off power fried Annette's new computer, we shut down the rest and couldn't even play solitare!! ARG! SO boring. And of course, the power had one big surprise left--it shut off for about a 1/2 hour. I sat in a dark office without windows to the outside world... bored, bored, bored. Eventually it dawned on me to get on my laptop, b/c OH! it's got a battery. lol But there's only so much you can do without the net...
And Bob, my boss never showed up, we couldn't reach him on his work cell, Greg hadn't come in, Jermayne went to deliver crap to a building that was on a seperate power supply, and Annette went to take her kid to some doctor's appointment. She said she might not be back. So not only did I not have nothing to do, but no one to talk to... Eventually I just went home. It's not like I was clocked in anyways... and I usually leave at 11:30 for class... since class is out, I just went to the UPAV to sell back a book and went home. Yay, $80. It'll go towards fixing my front bumper.. X___X not like I get new clothes or anything. sigh.
Overall, since I got home, it's been a mind-numbing but comfortable day. lol It's fun to be home when it's dreary outside. I tried to rewatch Night at the Museum (uber-cute movie), but I fell asleep, and spent the next several hours playin FFXII... and now that American Idol show is on... but I don't particulary feel like subjecting myself to it. So I think I'll walk away and go play FF again. lol I've had it for about a week or more now, but I haven't really had time or a chance to play it... I'm not usually home. EVER. ever.
I feel really lethargic... but relaxed. It's kind of nice. I don't usually get to feel like this. And I love my room. I hardly get to spend time in it awake.. lol I love how dark the walls are, and then the one window with light streaming through the bamboo shade--it's like a cave. I love it. I sound like some nocturnal critter hiding from the sun.. but there it is.
