sucky spring break is over...

It really wasn't the best vacation I've ever had... I stayed home, worked 40 (more like 35 b/c I'm habitually late..) hours on campus, HAD TO GET UP EARLY EVERY MORNING, and I didn't even get to see Nathan as much as I wanted...

The best part about break would have to have been not turning in that tidal wave of homework that comes every Wednesday/Thursday, and playing laser tag for Jason's 21st birthday in Clarkston.  Of course, the Tatum sisters got screwed.  Rachel and I didn't have working vests/guns the entire first game.  The owner finally gave us our money back for the first game, and I blew about all of it on DDR.  Because the best thing for me wasn't to cool down in between games, no, I had to keep going and give myself a heart-attack.... of course.  The second game was a lot of fun--now that I could actually play.

The girls team split up into buddy pairs, and Monica and I took the bottom floor--going all commando--but there wasn't anyone down there!  Of course the girls' team didn't have a chance against the guys who play paintball... (well maybe Sarah did, she scored like 2 or 3/11... you'd never guess it...) and I didn't have the massive forearm to cover my chest sensor with, but I do have to say I never got shot in the back!

I can't believe I sniped John twice from behind..
I saw him across the room, popping around from this divider that came from the wall at a 90 degree angle, shoot up into the fort, then duck back.  I scurried along the outer wall until I was on the other side of the wall he was hiding behind.  "Oh, look, a grate in the wall..." I can't believe he didn't notice such a big security risk!  I popped up silently, fired off two shots, waited for his light to go out, and ducked back down, fighting giggles the whole way.  I waited 20 seconds for the light to reactivate, and I was fully expecting John to be waiting for me at the grate this time.  But NO!  He thought someone had sniped him from the fort, b/c he had his back to me again and was scouring the second floor for a target.  I fired off two more shots, heard him say, "WHO KEEPS DOING THAT?!," and I lost it as I ducked back down.  He heard me giggling, of course, came around the wall and eliminated me. lol No matter how I tried to squeeze myself into a corner, there's still the shoulder and gun targets...

*sigh* That was a well-deserved 800 points...
But yeah.  I had ONE fun day out of the entire week.  The rest of them were just like any other day... but with more time in the office...

OH.  And yet another great episode of The Black Donnellys last night.  I did 60-65 mph all the way home to watch it in HD on the widescreen downstairs--I even told everyone ahead of time that I'd be back at 10 p.m. JUST FOR THAT PURPOSE.... but when I walk in, mom and dad are downstairs watching something... *&^%$#@!  I could've stayed at Nathan's house to watch it on a regular TV... so he and I drove out there for nothin' I guess..

But yeah.  Getting that bookie to fit in the barrel... *gag* I'd never really thought about how they do that... Disgusting and just so sad, what lengths Tommy is having to go to, just to protect his brother and his family.  And I love how both mobs underestimate Tommy and never entertain the idea that it could seriously be him who'd taken out both bosses.  But I guess that changes in the next episode according the the previews.  OMG.  What was that with Jenny?!  She waits until they've slept together to tell him that it's just not gonna happen?  Like stone cold lets him know and offers breakfast downstairs at the bar if he's hungry.  Like, thanks, have a great day.  That was cruel.  She had to know he's always loved her, and now that she knows what he's doing, she doesn't even consider that he's doing it to protect his family?  She grew up with him!  AND isn't that whole, taking advantage of someone and THEN telling them it's not gonna work, isn't that a GUY move?!  In the previews last week, you see reference to a bed scene, and the OMG it doesn't turn out how you think it would... *sigh*

So yeah.  And to just add to the angst-fest, I have to catch up on my HYD2.  I've missed ep 7 and 8 subbed, and now ep 9 raw is out.... Better get 'em while the gettin's good.

And all I really feel like doing today is: *sigh*
