kan's smart-@$$ moment of the week

So.  There's this prof I have for Management Information Systems.  He's Chinese, his profile says he first came over here like 10 years ago or so.  And I don't have any problem with foreigners coming to the U.S. to live--especially when they're leaving repressive governments.   But if you're going to teach students here, please work on your comprehension and accent in english, especially if you've been here for over 10 years!  B/c I can't understand this guy.  He mutters, whispers, mumbles, *and* he has an accent.  I've given up on paying attention to lectures.  But when you assign us homework in a program, please make sure you understand that program yourself.

This whole MIS class is about using technology professionally to convey information.  So I decided to be professional and put all the homework questions on worksheets in one big workbook--instead of a couple questions on a Word doc, a couple questions in a Wksheet, and then a Word memo.  I didn't want anything to get lost, so I put all of the written questions on two worksheets in the front of the workbook, and the final quest was this huge income statement worksheet with 5 more worksheets of "what if you change this?"  So yeah.  A big workbook.  But it's all right there.  I spent 2 hours on the questions and 2 1/2 hours on the income statement spreadsheets.  It was a work of art--a thing of beauty by the time I was done.   I turned it in early and forgot about it.

Next thing I know, I'm checkin my email this afternoon and the prof had emailed me back saying he didn't see my written questions--36 points gone (out of 56)!   Omg.  I was so pissed off more than moderately enraged.   He said I had until midnight (last night) to email the answers to him for the points.  Of course I missed that deadline.  But I double checked the file attached to the original email I sent (which was still in my Sent Items folder) and YEAH.  They're there.  Just in the front of the workbook--he didn't scroll to the front.

That's when what Annette calls my "smart-@$$ moment" occurred.  Full of righteous rage, I sent him a reply email with detailed instructions my 7 year old god-sister could understand about finding the buttons at the bottom near the tabs to scroll, that that the button in particular that he was looking for, looks like this: " |< " .   lol  And that I didn't deserve to have to resend it or lose any points b/c I sent the completed assignment to him before the deadline.  So yeah. He emailed me back--I've got the full points now.  He may not like me now, but I'm not the one who doesn't know the subject matter that's being taught. Whatev.  I would've taken it to the School of Business office (if there is one) if I had to.

RAWR.
