SO. OMG. I have so much to update about. For once. :D
Let's back track a bit.
So, I left for school about a week early so that I could go on a roadtrip with the boy to Cedar Point.
Thanks to my financial constraints, we decided to scale it back and go to Six Flags Great Adventure in good old sucky New Jersey.
But, despite the terrible state, the park was fun. And, here's the kicker-
I. RODE. THE. TALLEST/FASTEST. COASTER. IN. THE. WORLD. TWICE.
Morgan has done the impossible. He not only got me on a coaster, but now I really fucking love them. And, well, I kinda wish I had the money to go back. Butttt, I need to stop hemorrhaging money until I get another job. And then there's the homework that I'm sure to get loaded with soon.
So, back to slightly more recent past. Yesterday was move-in day at Ursinus, and all was going well and such. I had unpacked a few boxes and such before we all decided to go to Bahama Breeze. Everything was fabulous until I got back to Ursinus. I was about 3/4 of the way finished unpacking when I heard a knock on the door. It was this really adorably apologetic girl (although she was a tiny bit condescending and entitled, but whatever...), and she told me that Res. Life fucked up our rooming assignments and that I got the room she signed up for. And, ya know, she's a senior so she's entitled to a better room than I am, yadda yadda. I still felt bad, even though her rationale for asking me to switch was starting to piss me off. So, ya know, I repacked and reunpacked. It was not fun.
But, at least I got something out of this room switch. I forgot my mailbox key at home and had to request a replacement. Usually, that would cost $30. But, since I was "so nice" (according to the director of Res Life), they waived the fee. SCORE. Of course, I still had $100 tacked onto my bill from asking for another power cord for my lappy, but whatever. At least it wasn't $130, right? RIGHT?
So. Back to move-in day.
The fun continued when I finished unpacking and realized that, HOLY FUCKING JESUS ON A POGOSTICK, I didn't pack my bed-in-a-bag. Or my printer. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. Soooo, this weekend I have to go to Wally World or Target or something similar and buy myself a cheapass printer and a sheet set. Mebbe a fleece throw. God, I hope I have enough money left over after buying my books and notebooks. D:
Moving on to this morning.
Today was the first day of classes. I had my favorite professor's class this morning, which was amazing. It was so thoroughly mindblowing. His class is an intro to special relativity and quantum mechanics, and it's so. amazing. already. After that, I had electronics with a professor I'd never even seen before. I had gotten the impression from his myriad "THIS IS AMERICA SPEAK GODDAMN ENGLISH" bumperstickers on his door that he was a complete dick, but he's actually really awesome.
Yeahhhh.
I'm about done. That was way too long. :D
