Older son had the first two games of his soccer tournament tonight. I missed the first game because our younger son and I had Taekwondo class but I made it to the second game. They lost the first game in a shootout. The second was also close and ended 1-1. Once again it came down to a shootout. The fifth player on our older son's team finally scored, but so did the fifth player on the other team. So they had to get more kids out there. Again they traded misses. Until our older son came up. With a run and a kick the ball went by the goalie and into the net!!! The other player missed and our older son scored the winning goal! It was quite exciting and very special to him. Something I think he'll remember for a long time.
