[21] Schedule

Note: I have...no words. I apologize for this fic, really. ^^;

His schedule sucks on Mondays and Fridays. He has back-to-back Modern English Literature and Classical English Literature with one of the most obnoxious Professors in the English department. The man has a personal vendetta against Ryoma because once upon a time the high and mighty Professor made a tiny grammatical error and Ryoma, American-born and raised, pointed it out. The man was livid, but maintained some of his composure. Ryoma and the rest of the class noticed the flames of hatred pouring out of him for the rest of class however.

The class is followed by a (required) discussion session. The discussion class is actually not bad. Ryoma likes his classmates well enough to actually not make smartass comments or ignore them altogether.

He has an hour break to grab a quick lunch and then it's off to the tennis courts for practice.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are slightly better. The class is a tough one, classic Russian lit, but because of its reputation, it is a smaller class and a much better one in Ryoma's opinion. His Professor is a very interesting Englishman who speaks six European languages and has Japanese, Chinese and Latin under his belt as well. Ryoma especially enjoys moments when the man forgets that he has to use either Japanese or English and begins to recite poems in Russian.

He has an hour break to make himself mentally prepared for the next class. It's his only Economics class, a strange requirement for someone majoring in Classical and Modern Literature. He argued with his advisor about this particular class. In the end, he didn't win the argument. So he is stuck with International Trade and Finance.

The class is very boring and Ryoma really wants to fall asleep but he's bad in economics and he needs the notes. And he really can't borrow someone else's notes because the only ones awake in that class are the people with a business or accounting major and they usually type their notes on their laptops. Ryoma once asked a freshman majoring in international business if he could look over the guy's notes. But the freshman closed his laptop and glared at Ryoma.

Luckily he can de-stress by playing tennis the next day.

Wednesdays are easy days. He only has one class, Contemporary Asian Authors and it's the only class that he shares with Fuji. He usually sleeps in class because Fuji lets him copy the notes afterwards. And if Ryoma wants to complain about the inserted comments about how cute Ryoma looks when he's sleeping and how Fuji wants to take pictures of him, he doesn't say anything. Instead, he copies the notes carefully after class, during their shared break, and hands the notes back to an amused Fuji.

Saturdays are reserved for tennis practice. By the end of the day, he has enough energy to take a shower, eat dinner and then he'll collapse on his bed, dead asleep.

And Sundays...

Sundays are the best. He'll lie in bed until Fuji comes in to wake him up. And Fuji always comes up with the most creative methods to wake him up. Not that Ryoma minds, but he'll never tell Fuji that, because Fuji doesn't really need any more encouragements.

And for the very same reason, Ryoma never tells Fuji that Sunday is his favorite day. But Fuji already knows that.
