Whining and bitching

The following is nothing but me whining and bitching about how lift has stacked up to cause me as much stress as possible. Well, maybe not as much as possible, but a lot.

I have been trying to refinance my house to raise the cash to fix the rotten floor joists caused by the improperly installed shower. They builder saved a buck by not installing a pan under the shower tile, allowing a drip, drip, drip of water to rot the joists under the shower and the sub floor under most of the master bath. Cost estimates run over $20K. I had hoped to also get enough to pay down the medical bills (oncologist current bill is $82K, Duke north of $30K). Appraisal came in at enough to either fix the house or pay Duke, not both. In the refi process a termite inspection found the critters, so $1K of cash I don't have to pay to rid the place of them before the lender will move forward.

Two weeks ago my car decided to shred the serpentine belt. OK, I can replace this. Sure I can. Except the car shredded the new one in about 30 seconds. So, until I find cash to take it to someone who can figure this out, no car.

Dishwasher pump broke, $300 to repair. And during the repair the tech messed up the drying element, so they have to come back. But this is not such a big issue right now as my well pump failed two days ago and there is no water is the house. Found a guy who will replace it next week, but there goes another $1K I don't have.

And, after 7 years, Afinitor has quit holding my cancer at bay. The next thing is out of trials and at the FDA for approval, where it's been for almost a year now. Also, last January, I had a stent placed in a vein in my abdomen to open up circulation in my legs. A tumor had grown around this vein and was chocking off the flow. This really helped with the edema. I lost about 15 pounds of water weight in about 3 weeks. Well, the edema is back, so the tumor is winning over the stent. I would go to Duke and have it worked on again except see all the above.
